Aqua lumière

Aqua Lumière  is an ethereal ombre Peshwas and lehenga ensemble, transitioning from sophisticated grey into luminous ice blue. Defined by a ruched bustier, sculptural lace detailing and extraordinary hand embellishment, the ensemble is illuminated by statement aquamarine stones, precious crystals, pearls, kora and dabka work. Every element is composed to create depth and movement, allowing the embellishment to flow seamlessly from the bodice into the sweeping silhouette.

A celebration of dimensional hand craftsmanship, Aqua Lumière  juxtaposes the softness of its icy palette with bold jeweled accents. From the aquamarine-encrusted bodice and scalloped Peshwas hem to the handmade floral lehenga and statement dupatta, the ensemble is designed as a complete composition—equally intricate from the front and back.

Signature Highlights

• The Ruched Peshwas: The ombre Peshwas transitions gracefully from grey into ice blue, beginning with a beautifully structured ruched bustier accented with delicate lace detailing. The fitted upper body gives way to a fluid, elongated silhouette, allowing the intricate embellishment to remain the focal point.

• The Aquamarine Jewels: Dramatic oversized aquamarine stones are positioned as statement elements across the Peshwas, with intricate hand embellishment composed and wrapped around each stone. The placement creates a jeweled, almost sculptural effect while enhancing the dimensional quality of the surface.

• The Jeweled Neckline: The neckline is treated as a piece of fine jewelry, densely encrusted with precious stones, silver detailing, kora, dabka and pearls. The craftsmanship radiates outward from the neckline, allowing the embellishment to flow naturally into the rest of the bodice.

• The Handworked Ghera: The artistry continues throughout the lower Peshwas with individually composed kora and dabka motifs created entirely through handwork. A beautifully scalloped hand-embellished hem frames the silhouette, while larger motifs along the ghera are enhanced with delicate sewn strings, creating movement and dimension.

• The Floral Ombre Lehenga: Beneath the Peshwas lies an ombre lehenga shaded from grey into ice blue, intricately adorned with dimensional handmade flowers. Delicate net detailing is enriched with individually applied pearls, while fine strings connect the floral elements to create an organic, cascading composition across the surface.

• The Open-Back Composition: The Peshwas opens at the back to intentionally reveal the detailed lehenga beneath. The same handmade flowers, pearls, strings and intricate hand embellishment continue across the back, transforming the rear of the ensemble into an equally elaborate composition rather than an afterthought.

• The Statement Dupatta: The dupatta becomes a couture statement of its own, centred around an elaborate back motif embellished with cascading strings. Layers of ombre embroidered organza and crushed organza detailing emerge from and around the motif, introducing texture, volume and movement while echoing the grey-to-ice-blue transition of the ensemble.

• Heritage Couture Finish: Intensive kora and dabka handwork, pearls, precious stones, silver detailing, aquamarine jewels, dimensional floral work and intricate string techniques are brought together through a contemporary ombre composition, creating a piece that feels simultaneously regal, romantic and modern.

“With Aqua Lumière , I wanted every detail to feel as though it were flowing into the next. The grey melts into ice blue, the embellishment grows around the aquamarine stones, and the handmade flowers are connected through delicate strings to create movement across the silhouette. Opening the Peshwas at the back allowed the lehenga to become part of the composition itself, while the statement dupatta completes the story with layers of embroidery, texture and cascading detail.
